Chiropractic Care for Everyone?

While Chiropractors are known for making sure your body is pain free, they also make sure your body is working properly and functioning at its best. Many people go to their local Chiropractic in Dubai (or wherever they’re located) in order to get a wide range of ailments and issues cured by chiropractic treatment. Chiropractors emphasize the power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery. Being a non-invasive, drug-free option, families are turning to chiropractors to help improve their health.

What do doctors of chiropractic do?

A spine chiropractor is specially trained to examine and correct your spinal misalignments, called “vertebral subluxations.” If any vertebral subluxations are found during your exam, your chiropractor will use a safe and effective chiropractic adjustment to remove the misalignment, restoring proper spinal movement and removing any nervous system interference. We live our lives through the nervous system and the presence of subluxations creates a dysfunction that can cause uncomfortable symptoms. The nervous system passes through the spine, so subluxations can cause nerve irritation resulting in obvious pain and symptoms. Often times, however, they place a silent stress on nerves, which affects the communication between the brain and the rest of the body.

Who can benefit from chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care is both safe and effective for people of all ages. There are lots of benefits of chiropractic care which is why many people choose to have it. Neck pain, back pain, headaches, migraines and following an accident are what might be considered the most “well known” reasons to see a chiropractor, however, many patients find chiropractic to be very effective for a variety of other issues such as general fatigue, poor posture or ergonomics, sciatica, joint stiffness, pregnancy support, carpal tunnel syndrome, disc problems, sports injuries and general wellness.

Is chiropractic appropriate for children?

Yes! Many families benefit from chiropractic care for their children, from infancy through teenage years. Ensuring your child’s nervous system is free from interference enhances the body’s ability to adapt to stress. All chiropractors are trained to treat children but some practices have a special focus on children and families. The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) has a growing directory of these practices. For more information, visit ICPA4KIDS.org.

I don’t have pain. Should I still see a chiropractor?

It’s important to understand that spinal dysfunctions always happen before symptoms like back pain and neck pain making most subluxations “silent.” Your body has a natural way of altering your mechanics to avoid pain when dysfunction is present. The resulting bad posture and poor health is a smart move in the short term, but not good if you don’t eventually correct the dysfunction. That neck pain, back pain, bad posture or poor health are signs that your body is not working the way it should be.
